The cylinder types + the appropriate accessories and spare parts

hydraulic cylinders carry out linear movements to transmit forces. We distinguish lifting and tilting cylinders.

• lifting cylinder are responsible for the lifting and lowering function.
• tilt cylinder on the other hand for opening and closing. The group of tilt cylinders includes single and double-acting cylinders.
• Single acting cylinders can only drive in one direction with power assistance, for example extending the lifting cylinder. The retraction, on the other hand, is done by the platform's own weight.
• Double-acting cylinders can be powered in both directions.

Piston rods are part of lifting and locking cylinders. These will too hydraulic piston called. Here the hydraulic pressure is used Piston rod moved out of the cylinder (single-acting) or retracted (double-acting). The corresponding sealing kits, consisting of scraper rings, rubber rings and Simmerrings in various diameters, are used to seal the cylinder. The sealing set prevents hydraulic oil from escaping from the cylinder tube past the piston rod.

A bellow or a protective tube protects the piston rod against damage, e.g. B. Rockfall. If the piston rod is damaged, it must be replaced. Inserting a new set of seals no longer makes sense if the piston rod is damaged.

The shifting cylinder is part of the shifting device and is used to extend and retract the tail lift under the vehicle chassis. This can only be found with so-called liftgates that can be driven under (also called sliders).

In addition to tilting cylinders, spare parts such as rod heads, adjusting eye, pressure intensifier, guide rings and clamps are also required on tail lifts, which we have available in our shop.
