Grease nipples are the direct connection to the inside of the bearing. With a grease gun, grease is pressed into the interior of the bearing via the lubricating nipple using high pressure. A small ball in the grease nipple is pressed under pressure in the direction of the bearing and clears the way for the grease. As soon as the grease gun is removed again, the ball returns to its original position and protects the bearing from dirt and dirt particles penetrating. The grease nipple cap also closes the grease nipple.
